We have placed great importance on the cuisine in our 4-star Hotel in Selva for generations. Gerard Welponer was one of the first wine waiters in South Tyrol. He transmitted his passion for fine cuisine and precious wines to the whole family, which became one of Welponer's strengths. Gerard Welponer will be happy to advise you on the selection of wines.

The menu in our 4-star Hotel in Selva varies from season to season. We offer South Tyrolean specialties and Mediterranean as well as international treats according to the season. Furthermore we regularly have culinary weeks based on various themes: first courses, fish specialties or the traditional cuisine of the Val Gardena.

Besides language, customs and traditional clothing, cooking is also a typical trait of the Ladin valleys. The food of our grandparent was very simple, either for the lack of ingredients or simply for the simple preparation of dishes. The Ladin cuisine was influenced and partially even replaced by new habits. That is why now Val Gardena's cuisine has become as international as its guests.
